Story behind the photo
The Boys of the Funfair is made in Mashad, Iran. Mashad is the second city in Iran, housing almost 3 million people. In Mashad, I visited many places for entertainment to photograph ordinary life. This luna park was one of them. While passing by one of the attractions, I saw these two boys approaching. One of the boys had obviously the fear of entering. The touching part that makes The Boys of the Funfair special, is the second boy comforting him. The bold colours and the fast-moving part of the attraction make the photo complete.
