Story behind the photo
Modern Life shows an apartment building in Erbil, Kurdish Iraq, reflected in a rainwater puddle. I noticed the building quickly when I arrived in Erbil, as it has a unique and remarkable design. During my stay, I searched for a way to capture the building's strength and grace in a fine art photograph. One morning, while taking shelter in an office building during the rain, I noticed a puddle forming on the sidewalk. After the rain stopped, I saw that the building was reflecting beautifully in the puddle. And like this Modern Life was born.
